You couldn't be further from the truth... I care about that. Do you have any pictures? What was his/her name?

My first pet was a goldfish. I thought he was lonely so I got him four friends which he systematically killed by wedging them under the air bubble wheel, before taking his own life by jumping out of the tank. Didn't think much of it then, but it seems pretty disturbing now that I look back on it.

My daughter has two goldfish. We had them in a small bowl, until they started to grow. We moved them to a 5-gallon tank, and then into a 10-gallon tank. They just keep getting bigger and bigger. They’re going to need a room of their own soon. We’re thinking twin beds.

Sounds like you may have gotten some genetically enhanced goldfish if they are getting that big.

I had the same issue, except I was four years old at the time, I was certain it was the steady diet of M&M's and Skittles I would toss in the tank when my parents weren't looking, that made that fish grow to epic proportions.

You can never tell with goldfish. We had three, but then one day there were two. Either the two remaining goldfish ate it, it jumped out somehow and the dog ate it, or maybe it just went hiking. If you see my goldfish out there on the trail anywhere let me know.
