Trails were well packed, but there was still some areas of snow.
My MSR Shoes came in handy a few times. Best money I ever spent.

I'm just a typical poor Salesperson with a wife, three kids, dog, cat, two rats, a house, and limited funds.
I make myself time for one or two hikes a month and canoe in the summer.
My first year on Snowshoes. I got 2 trips in this year. It's great being able to go places that I couldn't before.
Any good trips this year?

Yes it was! The crampons are not only under the ball of the foot like most shoes but they hav additional cleats behind the crampon as well as all the way around the shoe. Great all around backcountry shoe.

When it comes time to upgrade, I will look into that. I can see how the back crampon could come in handy.

I have a buddy who lives in the hills of Worthington, who says he has about 2 feet still. I hope to go see him before it's all gone.
