I already informed my wife that if we win Powerball, I am blowing some of the money on stuff like this:

If money was no object, I would love to have a library filled with this type of Americana. Classic Globe reporting however, the viewing is TODAY, would it have been too much trouble to publish this article yesterday? I work downtown and definitely would have tried to make a trip to Beacon Hill

That is cool. I like the same sort of stuff.
I posted a while ago about a few authentic peices I just got.
If you've seen the second National Treasure movie, this is the ship they find in the arctic:

This came out of a 17th century (yes, 1600s) farmhouse. We think it's late 1700s.

Good stuff!

Cool stuff for sure. I wasn't able to go see this either. Though I'd love to have some of these writings & prints myself (like I ever could
), still part of me feels they should be in a local museum or library, protected. Of course, it's a lot of money for a state or organization to invest in, especially in a struggling economy. Still, it would be something to own one of those letters. I'd probably want to build an underground bunker to protect something like that
.
Andrew, that's some nice stuff! Is the table mahogany?
