I'll be climbing Cannon Mountain and maybe North and South Kinsman on Patriot's Day, April 19th, with my father in law.

Anyone recently climb them? What are the conditions like, what is the snow cover like at this point?

I realize it's 3 weeks or so out, but do you think I'll still need full winter gear for this one? I'd rather not hike a lot of mileage in my less comfortable scarpa double boots if I can get away with a waterproof 4 season leather pair not meant for mountaineering.

Its hard to say what the trail conditions are going to like in a few weeks. This site has some nice details.
