Is this woman spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise?

If you see the dancer turning clockwise, you use more of the right side of the brain. Counter-clockwise? You use more of the left side of your brain.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS:
logic
detail oriented
factsdominates
words and language
math and science
order/pattern perception
reality based
forms strategies
practical

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS:
feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination dominates
symbols and images
philosophy and religion
spatial perception
fantasy based
presents possibilities
risk-taking

This is crazy, lol, but mesmerizing. What does it mean if you can see her spinning in both directions? When I first looked at it, it appeared ccw. By staring at the foot she's turning on, it switched to cw. What does this mean, & should I be worried?

It's funny, I've looked at it 3 times now and all I see is clockwise. Never in my life has anyone (myself included) ever considered me a right brain person. In fact, I consider myself left-brain almost entirely.

My whole life is in upheaval now, who am I?!

HAHAHA!!!

I can see her spin both ways (giggity). It's freaky, I can be absolutely convinced she is going in one direction, then it just "shifts" and I'm absolutely convinced she is going the other.

Damn..

The two-brain myth was founded on an erroneous premise: that since each hemisphere was specialized, each must function as an independent brain. But in fact, just the opposite is true. To the extent that regions are differentiated in the brain, they must integrate their activities. Indeed, it is precisely that integration that gives rise to behavior and mental processes greater than and different from each region's contribution. Thus, since the central premise of the mythmakers is wrong, so are all the inferences derived from it.

This is only a pop-psych myth that has no scientific grounding. The brain is actually bilateral, and there are structures that link the hemispheres together. The only true function that is one sided is related to speech. Broca's area and Wernicke's area are two speech related regions, each of which is on one side. If damage occurs to this side of the brain, the person would lose their ability to speak, process incoming speech stimuli, or to speak in sensible sentences (everything would be jumbled).

Sorry, just my Master's in Psychology speaking, and it doesn't get to often. :-)

Well... it's still pretty cool that the dancer changes direction.

ya it is weird...I saw it as ccw first, and then after a few second, cw. Now all I can see is cw.
