Movie review - 2012

I've been looking forward to seeing this one for a while now. I figured it would be a decent eye-candy movie with dazzling effects on my home theater. Well, I watched it last night. Granted the effects are cool and all, but the story line and acting left a little to be desired. It's sort of a merge between Transformers 2 and Evolution, with a dash of even worse dialogs.

At first, I was excited when I found the 2012 Blue-ray disk for only $12.99. But after watching it... I'd hold off until it's $8.99 or so before buying it, if I were you. Or better, it can't be long before it's deep in one of those "$5 Movie" bins at walmart.

I'd give it a solid 5 / 10. Nothing more than generic, mediocre action movie. Meh...

It did have some pretty intense effects. AND, it's not everyday you see an aircraft carrier fall on Washington.

I haven't seen it, but I imagine it was probably meant to be watched in one of those 3D IMAX theaters. My co-worker watched it and is now fearful of neutrinos, and no amount of explaining about the physics of neutrinos has worked to persuade them otherwise.
