At - Hoyt Rd To Dalton chipping away at MA Rate Topic: -----

Loaded the gang into the car and headed north for an out and back on a short section of AT. I thought this would just be another standard walk through New England forest. Not so... This section is absolutely gorgeous.

This section is basically split into two part. The beginning is wet and travels next to the Pittsfield watershed. The second half is loaded with ferns and fields and views to make you act like a tourist.

The only negative experience we had was the 8 boy scouts that seemed to need to ghetto camp by pitching their tents right next to ours and playing grab ass well into the night. The positive that came out of that, my wife insists that we stealth camp from now on. B)

I think the best way to finish this TR is to let the pictures speak for me...

The photos are awesome. You know it was a good hike when even the dogs get worn out.

Awesome pics! I'm trying to set aside a few days for a section hike this summer. It's just been so hard to get out lately... *sigh
