Just curious if anyone could give me some information about climbing up sugarloaf in the winter.
I want to climb up the ski slope areas, because that is great training for big mountain climbing since a lot of it tends to be snow slopes. Has anyone ever tried this? Can I just go up the side of the slopes, or maybe underneath the ski lift?

While skiing there, I have seen people hike up the mountain with full packs. You'll probably get stares from skiers but it isn't a problem. I don't think you want to practice self arrest or anything that would be consistenly in the way but summiting the mountain this way is ok as far as I have been told. I would check with the mountain to make sure and before leaving your car there for multiple days.
