A few years back my wife and I climbed MT Monadnock. It was early summer via the White Cross up, and the White Dot down.

On our desent, we walked over a sunning Timber Rattler. We didn't know how rare of a find this was until I met Ken and Cheryl in the saddle between Alander Mountain and Bash Bish Mountain a few months back. They suggested to report my findings to http://www.newenglan...om/timber.html.

So I descided to hike this Mountain once again (my 8th time) to pin point on a Topo were we saw the Rattler.

I found the spot, took a lot of pictures, and enjoyed the heck out of my day.

I have posted a few pictures if you are interested http://www.hikingnew...dnock-10172010/

Ev gain 1835 ft
Temp 30 deg at summit 12 noon. Wind was strong felt like -20
