I am curious if anyone here has heard of any instances of vandalism of cars that are parked at a trailhead overnight. I would love to do overnight hiking in the Whites but don't want my car being vandalized. Just how common is this problem?

It's all too common, especially at the more remote trailheads. Take precautions, leave nothing of value in sight, etc.

I've had great luck. But maybe its just luck. Keep things out of sight
