Just curious if anyone had suggestions for a backpacking trip maybe for a 2-3nights for beginners. Im in decent shape but would like to go with a few friends of mine that dont excersise regularly but were also interested in getting into backpacking. I live in the South Shore of Mass, but love going up to the Conway area in NH, but would pretty much go anywhere in NE for a good hike.
Thanks in advance

If your looking for a relatively easy hike with not a huge elevation gain/loss I would look at some trails in CT. The Nipmuck Trailin northern/eastern CT is a very nice trail for beginners, and perfect for a 3 day trip and includes a little bit of everything (views, flat trail, few steep sections, ridge walk, river walk, fishing etc). Two tent campsites, and one very nice shelter near the trail terminus. (tent sites also at terminus). I live in CT, so am of course biased haha. But generally speaking, look for a trail not in the heart of the mountains. These will generally be a little easier.
I am sure that there are easy trails in NH and Mass as well, I just don't personally know of any.
