Hi All -- A new user to this site, and also a relatively new resident in Maine. Anyways, to get to the point....my wife and I don't have an awful lot of free time, but would like any and all suggestions for good backpacking trips in the 2-3 day range or extended weekends. Would love to get on the AT a bit or even something nice along the coastline. Much appreciated!
Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! What an excellent resource this site is. Was hoping to stir up some discussion on maybe some excellent hikes that cannot be read in your typical local hiking books. I guess I'll stick with the ole fashion way of talking to neighbors/locals in my town.

A lot of us don't get on here super frequently. Could've given us a bit longer!
Definitely check out some trips in the Whites - the AMC guidebook is great & you can plan lots of trips with the maps that are included. If you're in Maine definitely check out Baxter SP/Katahdin too.
