I have to agree with you on that one. When it's not blowing gale force winds I've had the kayak out in the salt. With the dandelions comes the tautog. But SINCE it's been small craft advisories nearly everyday for the past month, I've been in the fresh, last Saturday I couldn't miss, no matter what I threw!

How's the fishing been in CT?

Been out trout fishing a few times, last Saturday morning as a mentor for our club's beginner fly fishing class. That was a lot of fun. Fished a little back country stream with some nice sized wild brookies in the afternoon. That is until the storms rolled it.

This coming Monday, the plan was to take the kayaks and fish the worm hatch at Ninigret, but my partner just backed out. I'll probably go it alone.... too good to pass up.

I've never fished the hatch, but I've heard fly fishing it is the way to go. Atleast the weather is looking decent for this weekend. Nothing breaks the spirit more than when I have some free time to get out and wet a line yet the wind is howling. So I plan to take full advantage and hit some of my favorite spots in northern RI for some fat bucket-mouths.

very nice place to spend your vacation days on. It gives us a relaxing view, peace of mind with the nature and quiet place to meditate.
