12 years ago we did a hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We would like to "find" the trail again but not sure where we were or the name of the trail.

We think we were driving the Kancamagus Highway. Small turnout to park. Hiked along a old road parallel to highway, then headed up maybe near a creek. Can't remember how far we hiked but a ways and there was no one on the trail. We heard voices and found few people swimming. It was a "wide" smooth granite boulder area with various shoots of water dropping into small waterfall pools.

We'd like to show our daughter this place on our family summer vacation in late July. Unfortunately we don't remember much about the trail other than having lots of fun in the granite water shoots.

Does anyone know about some trail like this in the area?

My first thought was that has to be somewhere on the Sawyer Brook where there's an old rail bed, but that's off 302.
Rocky Gorge and Lower Falls on the Swift River are both on the Kanc, but I don't remember any forest road that needs to be walked. They're right next to the road
Maybe you can find the spot you're looking for HERE
