My first White Mountain Guide was a '72 as well.
At least I considered it mine until someone stole it from the town library
The one that replaced it was a '79 that I still use today
Some of the trails might be different, but the mountains are still in the same place.

The older they are, the more connection I feel with my past. I would not loan any of my guides, when I'm dead and gone is another story. Thanks for the comment.
