As a life-long New Englander, I take pride in our winters. There is nothing like the battering of 24 hour Nor'Easter to get your blood really pumping. So far, this winter feels like three months of October. Where is the snow, and wind, and all the things is make for killer pictures and memories? I can only assume that Mother Nature is building her forces for a real walloping in the months to come, but it feels so strange. I'm in a tee shirt and it feels fine.
The funny thing is, once we get slammed people are going to be running around bitching about it. I personally can hardly wait.

I like snow as much as anyone but I'm not complaining
The amount of oil it takes to heat my 200+yo drafty house costs a friggin fortune
We keep the thermostat at 60* most of the time.
The last few days it's been warmer outside than in
I bought new backcountry skis two seasons ago, so you can blame (or thank) me for this weather

Yeah, I hear you on the oil bit. I lease a 3 bedroom 1790 farmhouse. Good thing I prefer the heat at 60.

I"m cold,
this room isn't in the main, heated part of the house.
I can see my breath

yeah, no kidding... i'm drowning in oil bills!
I'll take that 55 degree weather back in a heartbeat! If it's going to be cold, at least give us some snow. Cold and no snow... is just cold!
