I've been hiking Blue Hills Reservation for years, as the only local hiking area with somewhat challenging trails. Does anyone know of any trails thats will be a decent challenge, yet have a good view/scenery? Im looking in the eastern mass area.

I live in Eastern Ma, but I generally go north to get out in the woods. I think Pawtuckaway, in Nottingham NH is the best semi-close park with decent trails.

You can spend a day in there and see all kinda of terrain.

The Middlesex Fells (Medford and Stoneham) has some awesome hiking rails. The Skyline Tr is a nice long loop with some minor views. The Rock Circuit Tr is shorter but actually a little tricky in spots with some ledges to scramble on.

Mt. Grace is a nifty little peak. Its not overly long and challenging, but it will get your heart pumping as you go up over Little Grace and Mt. Grace. Another bonmus is it is part of the M+M....so you get a section hike in as well!!!
