I have an old rigid-fork Gary Fisher Tassajara that has been looking at me for three years asking... why?
I am thinking about getting back on the trail this year. I will be slow, and out of shape, but I know if I can just get through a few trips I will feel 100% better!
Does anyone bike? For years I did like three times a week. I'd be all about planning a trip if any of you were like me - not a trailblazer! (well, at first)

I have a bike that I put together from salvaged parts that I collected for years
I still swap out parts when I find something better
So far I've only needed to spend 35 cents on it for a bolt I didn't have.
Killed me to do it.
I use to ride abit and need to get back into it also.
There's LOTS of great places around here
(see my post in the Rhode Island section)
I could even ride out the back of my property and not hit pavement for miles
The only issue is my dog.
He likes to hike as much as I, and when I go out somewhere he expects to go too.
I feel guilty when I don't bring him along.
Oh well

I just picked up this:

And Atrace picked up this:

We've been going out nightly, give me a ring anytime.

NIIICE....
I'd LOVE to get out man, I just need to get the shocks fixed on my Nishiki. The compression is all but gone in them. The cost to replace the shock is crazy high so I'd like to find a re-build kit for it.
(BTW: knowing us, I should also get a new helmet and an better insurance policy, for we both know there are none who are more gnarly on two wheels [after a couple pints])
