I'll be taking a short trip to WMNF for the 1st time in a long time. But, I'll need to connect to the internet with my laptop at least once during the 2-3 days I'll be there.

Can anyone recommend locations where I'll be welcome to use a wireless connection without renting a hotel room. Initially I'll be in the Conway/Jackson area.

Thats a good question. I'm not sure myself, but I'd be interested if anyone else has any feedback on this one.

I will ask around, there must be a coffee shop, or library or something you can use...

I'm almost positive that the "frontside grind", in the Eastern Slopes Inn at the north end of main st in north conway has wireless.
The MET definitely has high speed, but I'm not sure they're wireless yet. They have a couple of machines set up.

Hope this helps.

ps the mt cranmore base lodge is a definite too, and the White Mountain Hotel on west st.

Dood, I hear ya. I'm a web developer for some big international companies. I don't like to admit it, but I like to be available if anything crashed while I'm out of the office...

like i said it's evil, anything that makes you feel like you HAVE to have it or be close to it, is evil. Just like drugs or alcohol when you reach the point where you have to have it then your addicted. Although i will take drugs and alcohol over the internet anyday  :smokin:

Actually, it's a job -- it's not fun to HAVE to check in to make sure everything's running. It is nice that I can go be out in the boonies and still do my job -- hell, it's paying for the trip 8J)

Actually my place in nh is the only place i know where it is NOT available in the town at all except for dial up and that is only of you have a phone. Theres no cable tv or intnet, cell reception is spotty at best so no use of a PCS card and no DSL available. I LOVE IT. although i do miss my streaming music. not MP3 but online streams. :guitar:

I run a web hosting company -- need to be available for emergencies.
