Help
Thinking about hitting up Monodnock tomorrow. Looking to stay away from the crowds that'll be heading back from bike week tomorrow via Rt. 93. I'm looking at this as a tune-up for a planned hike up Mt. Washington sometime during the first week of July. Any suggested routes? I know this is a fairly poplular hike and I'd like to avoid crowded trails.

Pumpelly trail. It will give you more of a workout without being overly taxing. You get what is described as one of the best ridgewalks in Southern NH, and you get to avoid the mass crowds for all but the summit.
