Well i am back and relatively unscathed. I spent Friday am thru sun pm traversing 25 miles of the White mts. We started around 11 am Friday at Lincoln woods parking lot, took the Lincoln woods trail up to Franconia brook trail to the 13 falls tent site 8.1 miles. A beuty site nice water falls decent tent sites and bear boxes. We arrived before the caretaker so we had the place to ourselves for awhile, we registered once the caretaker showed up $8 a head per night. Then we ate, and sat on the rock in the middle of the falls poked a little smoul, drank some hot sake until 1030 or and crashed out. NOTE. the hammock tent ....not so comfortable. The next day was shorter on 6.5 miles We went from thirteen falls to Galehead hut via the Trailway trail (AT) then UP and I mean UP to South twin Mt 4902 ft., That second strech from Galehead to South Twin is only .8 miles but you go up 1200 vert ft. very steep hard climb with a full pack. Then we stayed on Trailway made it over to Guyout Mt 4580 and down to Guyout tentsite, once again $8 per head per night. We spent the night there i just stayed under my Noahs tarp on the tent plat form much more comfortable. The final day was a long haul of 11 miles down the Bondcliff trail to Mt Bond 4698 then to Bondcliff 4265, connected with the Wilderness
trail, then back down Lincoln woods trail to the truck. All in all a great trip although next time I might just hike to Guyout or 13 fall tent site and do day trips with a smaller pack to various peaks. There are some great views. Check out the pics my buddy Justin took these mu buddy Bean will post his soon and i will add the link.

Real nice pictures! Great report.
What didn't you like about the hammock? Head up, legs/feet up, ass down?
I know that would bother me

Ya pretty much that was the problem all the blood in your legs ends up in your ass. Knees get locked up. I am a tosser & turner very hard to do in a hammock. And of course i told every one that a thermo rest is a must, and i decided not carry mine and my back got cold. I have an idea for better design that i am going try and make a prototype off. It should help with the leg issue.

Stretching the hammock out as level as possible when setting it up would help too.

did that but it seems to sag if you move too much no matter how tight you tie it. It was an in expensive hammock so maybe if i spent a few more bucks it would be better

I think one of the first stages of human evolution was when they stopped sleeping in the trees, and started sleeping on the ground B)

13 Falls is a really nice spot. My wife and I stayed there for a day. We called it a beach day, without all the people.

Hey Andrew, did you do your trip in lincoln woods on sat? I ran into a dude and his girl coming down from south twin i though could have been you and bobelle (she's your girl right) but the dude said it was his first hike. So i didnt make sense that it would be you. But i thought i would check.
