Never been up to Tecumseh before. I heard the Waterville Ski Area trailhead is a better choice. If I go from here, is the only option the same way down or is there a loop/side trail?

I did that Hike years ago. So, I’m not 100% sure, but I don't think there is a loop trail...We actually came down one of the ski trails for part of it. (The views from the ski trails are better)

I have done tecumseh from the ski area many times and I usually go up the tecumseh trail to the summit then hit the sosman trail to the ski trails for the way down. I have also done it from tripoli rd. and in my opinion is a more interesting hike. If you were able to spot a car you could go up from the ski area and down to tripoli rd. or if you were feeling really ambitous you could just do the road walk which looks like about 3 or 4 miles on the map but the road is pretty flat so it wouldn't be too bad. Have fun!

No loop trail. I did Tecumseh following the Tecumseh Trail. We had 2 cars so we parked one at the end on Tripoli Raod and took the other to start at and the ski parking lot.
