I've been out kayaking in Narragansett Bay every day this week
Do it now or regret it over the winter
On Monday the air temperature was around 80*. I don't know the exact water temp, but it was warm enough so that when I waded out to "that" critical level, I wasn't cold.
Tee shirt and bathing suit on Oct. 22...wow. Swimming would not have been out of the question.

Yesterday was another story. Air temperature was in the low 50s
I was still in shorts and barefoot, but on top of my tee-shirt I wore a fleece and a wind breaker.
It was spitting a little rain when I started out but it soon began to clear.
As the sun came out, the wind came up
It got a bit choppy and when I started to get wet, it was time to head in..
If I had a sit-on-top it would have been way too cold for shorts.

Hopefully this isn't quite the end of my 'yaking season, but I see that coming soon

yeah, uhg,....

Last weekend I was able to get out and hike for a few hours. I've been rippin' sick for the past few days and don't think I'll be able to do much this weekend. I'm bummed because I know the weather is going to be taking a turn.
