This weekend we moved the main area up out of the sun, into the woods... much nicer

(I'm the one with the obvious hangover
)
Kitchen worktable and sink

I guess that I've never mentioned that we have a moose..... yes.... here in Connecticut !
We haven't seen him yet, but he regularly leaves his 'calling cards' on the trails

Okay.... next weekend is Labor Day and time for the big campout
This year I'll be barbecuing a 60# pig on Saturday nite and making a big batch of chicken, sausage & shrimp gumbo on Sunday.
Breakfasts will be stuffed french toast and grilled chimichangas...a huge batch of 'leftover' hash Monday
We'll make icecream and have movies in the woods
...Play some horseshoes.... maybe drink a few beers
Just to get primed here's some pictures from 2007;
Makin' icecream

Kid's playin' boardgames

Some dutch oven cookin'

Group shot.... as you can see we all go new tydyes

Family and old friends but new people are always considered.
We like to have 'fresh blood' but they have to fit in
Mostly I plan the meals and my buddy Charlie (a fellow food pro) and I do the production
Other food assignments are passed out according to interest and known skills
