Here's where I was out this past weekend

Buck Hill Management Area is in the NW corner of RI
The Mass state line marks the northern end of the North/South Trail and the beginning of the Mid-State Trail
The dog and I spent the better part of the afternoon there, mostly 'cuz we got lost
Next time...bring a compass

George Washington Management Area is slightly closer to the house, less than 10 miles.
Don't know why I rarely go there...it's a pretty cool place
The trail we were on goes through a cedar swamp.... the dog thought that was great... walking in the cold water... chasing frogs.
Lotta water going through after all that rain

I've been through that area before but from the Massachusetts side. I was finishing up the Mid-State through Douglas SF and traveled as far as its connecting point with the North-South Trail.

Gotta love seeing a sign that points down a trail and says "72 miles to the Atlantic Ocean."

For the hell of it I 'whacked over to the direction of where RI, MA, and CT meet and found a huge stone pillar in the middle of the woods. Pretty cool stuff.
