I was a little disappointed with the show. It had its humorous parts, but I was hoping Will Ferrell would have been a little funnier. There is plenty about Man vs. Wild and Bear Grylls to poke fun at. Maybe he was too stressed.

I missed it. I was pretty busy and forgot all about it.

Dammit! I assume it will be available somewhere soon.

Watched and DVR'd it.

It was great. But, they overdid the 'Hollywood' thing. every 5 minutes Bears narrative was saying how Will is used to cocktail party's, and al a carte dinners... that got a bit old.

Still miss Survivor man though.

I agree it wasn't as funny as it could have been, but I bet they edited some stuff out. They can't have someone come on their show and make Bear look like a fool.

From a marketing standpoint I think it was a good idea. Ferrell got to promote his new movie and it stretched the Man vs. Wild audience possibly introducing new viewers to Bear Grylls. But a 48 hour hike, through a beautiful, but bitter landscape, with a strategically place deer head (so the Ferrell could eat the eyeball) didn't cut it for me. I agree with you Soulfrk, I miss Survivorman.

Is Les done? I always enjoyed him a lot more than Bear anyway.

A great new show I've got hooked on is Mantracker on the Science Channel. The premise is that two people get dropped off at a spot and have to make it to a finish line that is roughly 25 miles away, depending on the location and terrain, and are given a map and compass. I've only seen two episodes, and all 4 participants were hunters, bushmen, etc. (people with serious outdoor skills).

The game is that this cowboy called Mantracker is on horse, with a local guide, and is chasing them. He doesn't have any tools, only his ability to read bootprints and whatnot, along with a psychological profile of each contestant. There's a ton of strategy to it. The contestants can hide out in the bush (where the horses obviously can't go), but sooner or later they have to make a run for it to make the time limit.

Pretty sweet I think

Les is done, his last show aired early this year...or late last year. I can't remember. I think he's going to be doing something else soon, but I guess show was taking a bit of a toll on him. Did you know he is 48?

Man tracker is really cool. not sure I'd like to be the trackee though.

Watched the replay of this last night, thought it was great! The parts with him eating the deer head were classic
