After A Long Day On The Trail....
19 Apr 2011 - 10:43 AM
After a long day on the trail and I've reached my destination, camp has been set, firewood collected, dinner made I take a moment to enjoy a good cigar and a few sips of scotch. Usually shortly there after someone pulls out some dice and we partake in a game of 10,000. Or if there are enough of us, hi-low-jack usually finds it's way into the mix.
What are some of the activities you enjoy after camp has been set and you can relax? -
1St "large" Mouth Bass Of The Year

This ambitious little guy was the exact same size as the lure I was using, sure did make for a good laugh.
I hope everyone got a chance to get out and enjoy the great weather yesterday. -
Wind!
05 Apr 2011 - 03:33 PM
Is it me or is spring time around here abnormally windy over the past couple of years? I'm bummed because I actually had time (for once)to hit some local ponds this past Sunday to get some early season fishing in, but man the wind was just relentless! I thought around lunch time I was going to catch a break but it was only the calm before the storm. Early afternoon saw 20-25 knot winds with gusts over 35. Being as early as it is in the season with water temps in the low 40's I figured it was going to be more aggravation than anything, so the yak stayed dry.
End rant.
